Things to do

St. Helena’s downtown is perfect for an afternoon stroll. Whether it’s a hammer you are looking for or French country décor, the downtown offers a variety of shopping. To satisfy your hunger, we suggest dining at any of the world-class restaurants and bistros located in St. Helena. Most restaurants will be completely booked for dining on any given weekend. We highly recommend making reservations at least 2 – 4 weeks in advance. Some of our favorite choices for dining in St. Helena are Cook (bistro setting), Cindy’s back street kitchen, Silverado Brewing Company (great for families & large groups) and Gillwoods (for breakfast-get there early!). Another favorite is Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford off of the Silverado Trail.

Some of the top wineries in the world are located in St. Helena. Visit any one of these wineries and enjoy a tasting (for a small fee) of some of the finest wines in the world! Some of our favorites include Beringer Winery which is a five-minute walk from Casa de Vigna and Freemark Abbey just 5 minutes north on highway 29, next to Silverado Brewing Company.
